Volleyball Recap: Needville's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Needville had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Shadow Creek Sharks. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sophia Zeitz paced Needville's offense, picking up 16 kills. Zeitz got some help from Kelsey Chumchal and her 16 assists. Zeitz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Needville's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Shadow Creek, they moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Needville has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Dickinson on the 21st. As for Shadow Creek, they will square off against Sam Rayburn at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
