Baseball Recap: Basha Takes a Loss

Basha fell victim to Desert Vista and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bears were not able to get on the board.

Basha got a good showing from Sawyer Palevsky, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Palevsky also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Basha is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3-1 otherwise.

Basha has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-1 record this season. Desert Vista pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Basha has already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Sunnyslope on the 20th. As for Desert Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-5 defeat against Millennium on the 22nd.
