Preview: Greenville Green Wave vs. Stebbins Indians
Greenville has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Stebbins Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Greenville suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 66-46 defeat at the hands of Xenia. Greenville has struggled against Xenia recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Greenville had strong showings from Drew Hamilton, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Chace Drew, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Hamilton hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Meanwhile, Stebbins ended up a good deal behind Tippecanoe on Tuesday and lost 49-35.
Greenville's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Stebbins, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Greenville might still be hurting after the 63-38 loss they got from Stebbins in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Greenville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
