Recap: Cornerstone Eagles vs. Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights
The Cornerstone Eagles were the 79-67 winner over the Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Cornerstone took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westminster School at Oak Mountain.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob May, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. Jermaine Holder was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Cornerstone's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-15.
Cornerstone will head out on the road to take on Altamont at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Altamont is ranked 265th, while Cornerstone is ranked 280th). As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, they will be playing at home against Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
