Southern Aroostook was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Hodgdon on Thursday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 14-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

Brooke Shields made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Shields was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Haley McGary, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Addyson Schmidt was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
