Basketball Recap: Salisbury Comes Up Short

Salisbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 72-33 defeat at the hands of the Delmarva Christian Royals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-35 last Thursday.

Darius Liles continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Delmarva Christian, going 11 of 16 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Liles is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played. D J Liles was another key player, going 6 for 11 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Salisbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Delmarva Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salisbury will head out to square off against Salisbury Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Delmarva Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Sussex Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
