Franklin couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell victim to a tough 22-1 defeat at the hands of the Ravenwood Raptors on Tuesday. The loss means Franklin is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
For Ravenwood's part, they got a great performance from Linley Pittman as she struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Franklin will head out on the road to take on Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ravenwood, they will be playing at home against Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ravenwood will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
