Harker proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons, sneaking past 6-5. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.
Shaurya Jain made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aarav Borthakur, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jackson Powell, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs.
