Volleyball Recap: Tracy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Zoe Miles and Gurnaaz Joura + How To Watch

Tracy dropped to 14-11 on Thursday, ending the team's four-match streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the St. Mary's Rams by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Tracy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gurnaaz Joura, who had 22 digs and three assists, and Zoe Miles, who had 11 digs and one assist. Joura is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

As for St. Mary's, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 9th.

St. Mary's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rachel Nemee, who had 28 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Nemee a new career-high in assists (six). Genevieve Rishwain was another key player, getting 22 digs and four aces.

Tracy and St. Mary's should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings.
