Baseball Recap: Moapa Valley Find Success

While Moapa Valley's victory against Bonneville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Moapa Valley Pirates had just enough and edged out the Bonneville Lakers 8-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Lucas Pettingill, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Christopher Kohntopp also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Moapa Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonneville only posted an OBP of .417.

Moapa Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Moapa Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-7 loss against Mountain View on the 6th. As for Bonneville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 victory against Duchesne on the 7th.
