Volleyball Recap: Southeast Guilford Has No Trouble Against Trinity

After losing to Trinity the last time they met, Southeast Guilford decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Falcons put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

The victory didn't come easy: Trinity scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Trinity had strong showings from Avalynn Johnson, who had 20 assists, and Charlee Phillips, who had nine digs and three assists. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 27 times she's played.

Southeast Guilford's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Southeast Guilford will venture away from home to take on Ragsdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Leadership Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
