Volleyball Recap: Oceanside's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After a string of four wins, Oceanside's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Del Lago Academy Firebirds. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Firebirds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Oceanside was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Del Lago Academy work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 20-25, 26-24, 25-22.

Oceanside now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Del Lago Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-16 record.

Oceanside and Del Lago Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Oceanside is set to take on their familiar foe Valley Center at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Del Lago Academy will face off against rival Tri-City Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
