Basketball Game Preview: North Sevier Wolves vs. Beaver Beavers

The North Sevier Wolves will venture away from home to square off against the Beaver Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Sevier has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three games.

North Sevier fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Green River last Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 66-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolves have suffered since February 7th.

North Sevier might have lost, but man, Cynch Wanlass was a machine: he dropped a double-double with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Wanlass is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Brody Bulloch, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 22 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Beaver came up short against Piute on Tuesday and fell 65-54. The loss put an end to the Beavers' undefeated start to the season.

Beaver dropped their record down to 2-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Sevier, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

North Sevier strolled past Beaver in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 54-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
