Baseball Recap: Warrensburg Comes Up Short

Warrensburg fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Pembroke Hill on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Warrensburg's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Pembroke Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4-1 record this season.

Warrensburg will host Russellville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pembroke Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Van Horn at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.68 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
