Softball Recap: Issaquah Takes Down North Creek in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Issaquah had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the North Creek Jaguars 10-3 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Shae Erickson (2027) made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Riley Baumann (2026) was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Sadie Huryn (2025) was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Issaquah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Creek only posted a batting average of .185.

Issaquah is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for North Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 21-3.

As of now, neither Issaquah nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
