Soccer Recap: East Rutherford Takes a Loss

East Rutherford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the R-S Central Hilltoppers. The Cavaliers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hilltoppers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

East Rutherford's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for R-S Central, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Rutherford will take on Patton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for R-S Central, they will square off against Polk County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. R-S Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
