South Guilford HomeSchool is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing NC H: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that South Guilford HomeSchool blew NC H out of the water with a 53-17 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-7.

South Guilford HomeSchool's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isa Bosch, who posted 14 points along with eight boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave Bosch a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kourtney Bullins, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, South Charlotte was not able to break out of their rough patch last Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 38-29 to NC H.

Despite the loss, South Charlotte saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mya Aitchison went 5-for-12 on her way to 18 points in addition to six boards and six steals. That was a full 62.1% of South Charlotte's points, marking the fourth time in a row Aitchison has put up more than a third of the team's points. Mya Koziol was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for South Guilford HomeSchool and bumps their season record up to 28-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.5 points over those games. As for South Charlotte, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.

Everything came up roses for South Guilford HomeSchool against South Charlotte in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 65-20 victory. In that game, South Guilford HomeSchool amassed a halftime lead of 33-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
