Basketball Recap: Montour Snags 19th Victory in Last 20 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Montour walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 68-49 win over Milton Hershey on Friday. Given Montour's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Milton Hershey is ranked 139th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Montour is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points over those games. Milton Hershey's loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Montour will square off against Chartiers Valley on Tuesday. Chartiers Valley will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Montour surely won't give up without a fight. Milton Hershey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
