Baseball Recap: Houston Has No Trouble Against Liberty

Liberty typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Houston proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Blue Jays with a sharp 9-3 victory.

Shaun Buck was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Buck was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four RBI and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kolby Sisco, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season.

Houston's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houston will square off against Willow Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty, they will take on Fort Zumwalt South at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
