After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Byron, Genoa-Kingston was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They strolled past the Somonauk Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 63-49. This was payback for the Cogs, who suffered a 57-47 loss the last time these two teams met.

Genoa-Kingston pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Somonauk, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Genoa-Kingston will welcome Richmond-Burton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Somonauk, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
