Volleyball Recap: Brookland Bearcats vs. Wynne Yellowjackets
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Brookland had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Wynne Yellowjackets 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Bearcats sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Brookland never let Wynne on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-12.
Chloe Rodriguez was nothing short of spectacular: she had 13 digs and 43 assists. She has been hot , having posted 34 or more assists the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Burkeley Brewer, who had 14 digs.
Ella Reed and Emma Hall certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Reed had eight digs and 17 assists, while Hall had nine digs.
Brookland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 40-5 record this season. As for Wynne, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-11-1.
