Baseball Recap: Elliott County Takes a Loss

Elliott County fell victim to East Carter and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 24-0. The loss leaves the Lions still looking for their first win of the season.

Elliott County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for East Carter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elliott County will challenge Menifee County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Carter, they will square off against Lewis County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.9 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
