Pleasant Valley extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Kira Hnat. Everything went the Bears' way against the Stroudsburg Mountaineers on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Hnat, who had 29 assists and 12 digs. She has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last six times she's played.

While Pleasant Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Stroudsburg still got an impressive performance from Olivia Full, who had six digs and one block.

Pleasant Valley's win bumped their record up to 16-11-3. As for Stroudsburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season.
