Vista del Lago took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Poly Bears. This was payback for the Ravens, who suffered a 17-13 loss the last time these two teams met.

Vista del Lago's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Dupree-Boyd, who threw for 224 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score. 113 of Dupree-Boyd's passing yards were hauled in by Jae'Lynn Brown.

Looking ahead, Vista del Lago will challenge Valley View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poly, they will face off against JW North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
