Softball Recap: Sebring Comes Up Short

Sebring was the 14-4 winner over Winter Haven when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Streaks fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Blue Streaks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Sebring saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cailyn McWaters, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Sebring's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Winter Haven, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Sebring will challenge Hardee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winter Haven, they will take on George Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
