Baseball Game Preview: Jackson County Central Huskies vs. Worthington Trojans

The Jackson County Central Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Worthington Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Jackson County Central's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Monday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Windom hit Jackson County Central with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies fell 5-2 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Worthington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waseca. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bluejays since on Saturday.

Jackson County Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Worthington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Jackson County Central might still be hurting after the 9-2 loss they got from Worthington in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
