Basketball Recap: Northern Burlington Takes a Loss

Northern Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Medford Tech Jaguars. The Greyhounds lost against the Jaguars in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 81-53 score last time.

Medford Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kweli Jackson out in front who posted ten points and six rebounds. Jackson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Noah Johnson, who scored ten points.

Northern Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Medford Tech, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Northern Burlington will welcome Bordentown at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Northern Burlington is facing Bordentown at the right time seeing as Bordentown is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Medford Tech has already played their next contest (against Camden Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
