Basketball Recap: Clarksville Takes a Loss

Clarksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dickson County Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Cougars are ranked 88th).

Clarksville's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Dickson County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarksville will challenge Rossview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dickson County, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Creek Wood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dickson County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 games.
