It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Waterloo had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Shoals Christian Flame as they made off with a 16-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Waterloo, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Addie Pollard made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Pollard has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Pollard was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
