Baseball Game Preview: Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets vs. Central Spartans

For the second straight game, Palo Verde Valley will face off against Central. The Yellow Jackets will be playing at home against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palo Verde Valley is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Central a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.

Palo Verde Valley will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Central, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Yellow Jackets won by a run and slipped past the Spartans 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Dominic Rios was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddex White, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Palo Verde Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
