Laurel-Concord-Coleridge strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Plainview Pirates. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's got stronger as the match went on, holding Plainview to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-13, 25-12.

Rena Rasmussen paced Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's offense, picking up 19 kills. Rasmussen got some help from Carlie Kvols and her 34 assists. Hattie Mccorkindale controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Plainview, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Wood River on the 20th. As for Plainview, they will face off against Elkhorn Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
