Baseball Game Preview: Holy Redeemer Royals vs. Western Wayne Wildcats

The Holy Redeemer Royals will challenge the Western Wayne Wildcats at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Holy Redeemer will be strutting in after a win while Western Wayne will be coming in after a loss.

Holy Redeemer is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Valley View as Holy Redeemer made off with an 11-4 victory. The Royals not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024.

Drew Cisney made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Hummel, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Cody Quaglia, who scored three runs while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Western Wayne was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to Pine Grove. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
