Basketball Recap: North Charleston Takes a Loss

North Charleston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks, falling 62-19. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-13 back in November of 2024.

North Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Charleston will host Battery Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Oceanside Collegiate Academy has already played their next contest (against Orangeburg-Wilkinson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
