Football Game Preview: Hopatcong Chiefs vs. Wallkill Valley Rangers

The Hopatcong Chiefs will face off against the Wallkill Valley Rangers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Hopatcong came up short against Sussex County Tech and fell 26-13. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Wallkill Valley and Kittatinny Regional, and Kittatinny Regional kept the tradition alive. The Rangers and the Cougars were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Rangers suffered a 14-13 defeat. The contest marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hopatcong now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Wallkill Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
