Basketball Game Preview: Naylor Eagles vs. Cooter Wildcats

Naylor hasn't had much luck against Cooter recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Naylor Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Cooter Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Naylor will be strutting in after a win while Cooter will be coming in after a defeat.

Naylor took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-38 victory over Clearwater.

Meanwhile, Cooter ended up a good deal behind Southland on Tuesday and lost 54-40. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Naylor's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cooter, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.

Naylor suffered a grim 75-50 defeat to Cooter when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Thankfully for Naylor, Caleb Gunnels (who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 16 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
