Softball Recap: Rolling Meadows Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Rolling Meadows was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Schaumburg Saxons. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saxons earlier this season, when they won 14-7.

Rolling Meadows has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Schaumburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Rolling Meadows and Schaumburg could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 308th) will meet Prospect (ranked 130th) at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Schaumburg will square off against Barrington at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (101 vs. 1).
