Baseball Recap: Peru Tigers vs. Maconaquah Braves

Peru won against Rochester last Monday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Peru Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Maconaquah Braves. The win made it back-to-back victories for Peru.

Ian Potts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Potts was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

As for Maconaquah, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Elwood at 5:30 p.m.
