Volleyball Game Preview: Sierra Chieftains vs. Santa Ynez Pirates

Sierra is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Santa Ynez is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Chieftains will take on the Pirates in a tournament on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sierra's tournament run continued when they took on Central East on Friday. The Chieftains came out on top against the Bengals by a score of 2-0.

Brooke Gibson and Nicole Gibson were among the main playmakers for Sierra as the former had ten assists and six digs and the latter had five assists and three digs.

Meanwhile, Santa Ynez beat Minarets 2-0 on Friday.

Santa Ynez easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20.

Santa Ynez's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Sierra, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.
