Basketball Recap: Immanuel Baptist Gets the Win

Immanuel Baptist hadn't done well against Faith Baptist recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Immanuel Baptist Fire walked away with a 41-29 victory over the Faith Baptist Eagle. This was a revenge game for the Fire: when they faced off against the Eagle back in February, they had to take a 53-35 loss.

Several Eagle players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ellia Adams, who posted four points and seven rebounds. Bailey Burton was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight boards.

The win made it two in a row for Immanuel Baptist and bumps their season record up to 9-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.5 points on average over those games. As for Faith Baptist, they moved to 13-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Immanuel Baptist nor Faith Baptist have any future games scheduled.
