Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Cardinals are ranked 432nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fatima's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Steelville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
