Baseball Recap: Powell County Pirates vs. Fleming County Panthers

Powell County proved they can win big on Friday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fleming County Panthers, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since April 22nd.

Carter Poe made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.
