Football Recap: Kalamazoo Central Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Kalamazoo Central kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 28-7 to the Jenison Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Maroon Giants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Wildcats are ranked 132nd).

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kalamazoo Central will challenge Renaissance at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jenison, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Forest Hills Northern at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
