It's playoff time, and Wolsey-Wessington and Irene/Wakonda are set to clash on Thursday . The two teams are among the who's who of the state, so expect a thrilling game.

Wolsey-Wessington might be getting used to good results now that the squad has nine wins in a row. They took the match and then some with a 60-6 win over Miller/Highmore/Harrold last Thursday. Senior Devante Luellman, who rushed for 124 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Wolsey-Wessington's success. Luellman has been a consistent playmaker for Wolsey-Wessington as this was the 9th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Irene/Wakonda put the finishing touches on their 7th blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian to the tune of 51-0. With Irene/Wakonda ahead 43-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Their wins bumped Wolsey-Wessington to 9-0 and Irene/Wakonda to 7-2. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
