Basketball Recap: Shullsburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Juda last Friday, Shullsburg came back down to earth. The Shullsburg Miners took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belmont Braves on Thursday. The Miners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 49-48.

Shullsburg's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-3. As for Belmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Shullsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Belmont, they will challenge Mineral Point at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
