Recap: Faith Lutheran Crusaders vs. Palo Verde Panthers

On Tuesday, the Faith Lutheran Crusaders faced the Palo Verde Panthers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Faith Lutheran enjoyed a cozy 55-40 victory over the Panthers. The win was familiar territory for Faith Lutheran who now have three in a row.

Faith Lutheran was led to victory by Raina Forgue and Tamiah Harrison. Forgue scored 16 points along with five steals, while Harrison scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harrison has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Herpin, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Faith Lutheran pushed their record up to 11-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Palo Verde, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Faith Lutheran has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Spring Valley is ranked 30th, while the Crusaders are ranked 17th). Palo Verde's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Aggies at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
