Basketball Game Preview: East Eagles vs. Niagara Falls Wolverines

The East Eagles will square off against the Niagara Falls Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Thursday, East blew past Edison Tech, posting a 94-44 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Niagara Falls didn't have too much trouble with Lockport on Saturday as they won 74-58. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Lions are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Niagara Falls pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for East, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

East won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January of 2022, slipping by Niagara Falls 63-62. Will East repeat their success, or does Niagara Falls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
