Baseball Game Preview: Millersport Lakers vs. Danville Blue Devils

The Millersport Lakers will venture away from home to challenge the Danville Blue Devils at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Millersport fell victim to Bishop Rosecrans and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Bishops. The Lakers haven't had much luck with the Bishops recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Danville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over Northmor on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Danville's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for Millersport, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Millersport got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 against Danville by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
