Volleyball Recap: Father Capodanno's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Father Capodanno had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Grunts: when they faced off against Varsity Opponent two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Father Capodanno was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-12.

Father Capodanno can attribute much of their success to Aubrey Lott, who had nine aces.

Lott wasn't the only good server: Father Capodanno was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 45 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Father Capodanno's win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Father Capodanno will head out on the road to challenge Northwood Temple Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Varsity Opponent has already played their next matchup (against Granite City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
