Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Randolph Wildcats vs. Southwestern Randolph Cougars

Eastern Randolph and Southwestern Randolph are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Eastern Randolph Wildcats take on the Southwestern Randolph Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Randolph knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Southwestern Randolph likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Eastern Randolph came up short against Lexington and fell 83-73.

Meanwhile, Southwestern Randolph lost 52-30 to Randleman on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Southwestern Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Eastern Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Eastern Randolph strolled past Southwestern Randolph when the teams last played back in January by a score of 78-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastern Randolph since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
