Baseball Recap: Kouts Has No Trouble Against Delphi Community

Kouts won the last time they faced Delphi Community and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs & Fillies blew past the Oracles 15-1. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs & Fillies, who have now won five matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Billy Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Kouts got a massive performance out of Collin Breitzke, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Jesse Overholt also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Kouts always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delphi Community only posted an OBP of .316.

Kouts' record now sits at 6-1. As for Delphi Community, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Kouts will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Oracles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
